HISTORY

Bronko Hockey was founded in 2008 by former professional player Dion Del Monte and introduced the first and only weighted training belt specifically designed for hockey players. The Bronko Belt RTI helps players develop the leg and core muscles specifically used during each skating stride to give players the power and speed they need to excel.

Resistance Training on Ice --RTI-- combines the benefits of traditional resistance training with the highly sport-specific skating stride of hockey players. Because the skating stride is so difficult to duplicate off the ice, most forms of resistance training done in the gym are only approximations of the actual movements a hockey player needs to perform on ice. By adding training weight to a player while skating, the player develops muscle strength in precisely those muscles that power his stride while developing the muscle memory, co-ordination and balance which form the basis of his skating technique. Because the belt is so versatile and can be used in a wide variety of drills, you can choose which elements of your game you would like to work on. The muscles needed for straight line speed, explosive starts or quick lateral movement can all be trained in a completely sport-specific manner-- meaning you train those muscles exactly as you use them in a game. The belt can help you develop functional strength and speed which directly impact your play on the ice.

To maximize the training effect of using the belt, Bronko Hockey also offers challenging and highly specific on-ice programs which focus on generating greater foot speed, agility and explosiveness. Combined with our 1st Power Play Puck Skills development program, Bronko Hockey is able to offer players a full range of elite level on-ice training.

At Bronko Hockey we strive to offer exceptional, innovative, sport-specific products and services knowing the players who work with us demand the best of themselves and expect the same from us.
